This mixed media assemblage is a sculptural expression and continuation of my inquiry into the transcription error concept. I was interested in communicating the tenuous and fluid social "space" that exists between individual’s right to expression of needs and goals and other behavioral motivators and, conversely, the prohibition of these motivations within socially reinforced bounds. I was interested in how these goals and motivations were response to values that accrete from one generation to the next and how these values are communicated. In this case I was thinking specifically of different ideational spaces or spheres that exist in social structures, i.e. storytelling, newsprint, visual art, radio, television, etc.
