This piece, as with Fig. 83, contemplates what I recognize as destructive behavioral tendencies arising responsive to human need, and the value structures and latent rational constructs that have evolved to underpin these behaviors. The premise of this piece is to discuss the intersection of various concepts such as divinity, sanctity of life, anthropocentrism and environmental philosophy and ethics and ontology. The primary ideological interest of my present work is with drawing attention to what I would argue is a systematic bias in traditional Western ethical constructs against the non-human world.
